The yachtsman’s commandments

  • I respect the sea and rivers, I do not land on protected sites, I limit my fishing to the authorised species and sizes, I watch the animals without touching or bothering them.
  • Before anchoring, I determine the nature of the sea bottom to avoid damaging it.
  • Preferably I use mooring buoys.
  • I sort my household waste in the containers and leave my toxic waste, whether solid or liquid, at the harbour waste collection centre. I use the harbour’s toilet facilities.
  • I empty my lavatory water tank at the sewage stations. I use detergents that are the most respectful of the environment.
  • I make sure that all maintenance operations (boat, material, equipment) are carried out in a way that is respectful of the environment.
  • When decanting any potentially polluting liquids I handle them with care.
  • I respect the tranquillity of the site and its surroundings.
