Embark between sky, sea and cliffs Water sports

Explore the Calanques differently

In Cassis, the sea is a constant invitation. Climbing aboard a boat, kayaking or paddling… it’s a change of perspective: admiring the cliffs from out at sea.

An outing on the water is one of the most magical moments of a stay in Cassis.

A gentle or sporty experience, always unforgettable.

Did you know?

The port of Cassis has been offering boat trips for more than 50 years, and now boasts a modernised, environmentally-friendly and silent fleet with the “Esprit Parc National” label. Some of the boats are 100% electric or hybrid, to protect the waters of the Calanques.

Where to book

  • Directly at the port of Cassis (boatmen’s kiosk)
  • At the Tourist Office (advice + tickets for activities)
  • On the websites of local service providers: Lo’Kayak, Cassis Sport Loisirs Nautiques, JCF Boat, etc.
  • In advance in high season (strongly recommended for boats, kayaks, etc.)

In Cassis, you don't just take a boat trip. It's all about being carried along by the sea.

Respecting the sea and its rules

  • Choose a fleet with a sustainable label
  • Don’t throw anything into the sea, even organic
  • Observe wildlife without noise or intrusive approaches
  • Respect regulated anchorage areas
  • Do not use a drone without authorisation
  • Sailing also means protecting.

Moments to experience on board

  • See En-Vau from the majestic sea
  • Bathing in a cove only accessible by boat
  • Enjoy an aperitif at sunset
  • Watching seabirds or the great mother-of-pearl
  • Sailing at dawn, in absolute calm
