How to get to Cassis

  • By car: A50 motorway, exit 8 “Cassis”, 3 km from the centre. Access via D559 or route des Crêtes (panoramic, regulated).
  • By train: Cassis SNCF station (3 km from the centre) – Marseille-Toulon line. Shuttle bus or taxi to the port.
  • By bus: Regional lines or RTM from Marseille, Aubagne and La Ciotat.
  • By plane: Marseille Provence airport is 50 minutes away by car. Shuttle, taxi or train available.

Parking in Cassis

  • Park-and-ride sites with free shuttle service during the season (Peyriere, Les Gorguettes)
  • City centre car parks (chargeable, limited number of spaces)
  • Regulated parking depending on the season (green / blue / orange zone)
  • Car parks for motor caravans outside the town

Useful timetables

  • Tourist Office: Daily (variable according to season)
  • Shops in the centre: 10am – 7pm (closed between 12pm and 3pm out of season)
  • Provencal market: Wednesday & Friday mornings (Place Baragnon)
  • Boat trips: Departures between 9am and 5pm (weather permitting)
  • Supervised beaches : From mid-June to mid-September, 10am – 6pm
  • Access to the Calanques: Regulated in summer – check the map the day before
