The Calanque of Port Miou

The ideal starting point for exploring the Calanques

Located at the entrance to the Calanques National Park, the Calanque de Port-Miou is the only one in the commune of Cassis. A former stone quarry that has been converted into a marina, it offers a spectacular setting of turquoise waters, limestone cliffs and pine forest.

Accessible on foot from the town centre, Port-Miou captivates visitors with its peaceful atmosphere, pontoons lined with sailing boats and breathtaking panoramas. It is also the ideal starting point for walks to the Calanques de Port-Pin and En-Vau.

Practical information

  • Easy to reach on foot from the centre of Cassis (about 15 mins)
  • We recommend using the Gorguettes park-and-ride car park + shuttle bus (€1.60/day) depending on the season: See timetables
