The Calanque of Port Pin

Port-Pin, the cove of Aleppo pines

Hidden between the Calanques of Port-Miou and En-Vau, Port-Pin is a real natural gem. Its tiny sandy cove, turquoise waters and leaning Aleppo pines make it an idyllic bathing spot. Here, sea spray mingles with the scent of resin and the white rock is reflected in the crystal-clear waters.

Did you know?

The name Port-Pin comes from the many Aleppo pines that grow on the heights of the Calanque. These typical Mediterranean trees are able to survive in very dry soil, even on the edge of a cliff. Their twisted silhouette, sculpted by the wind and sun, contributes to the unique beauty of the area.

Preserving this fragile site

Port-Pin is a sensitive natural area in the heart of the Calanques National Park. To keep it as beautiful tomorrow as it is today:

  • Stay on the marked footpaths
  • Take away all your rubbish
  • Avoid trampling wooded areas
  • Respect the tranquillity of the area
