Did you know?

The Cassis marina is one of the oldest in the region. It is twinned with the calanque of Port-Miou, which is home to an astonishing natural harbour carved out of an old quarry. The site is listed and managed in a sustainable way, with ecological buoys, restrictions on unauthorised anchoring and low energy consumption.

The boater's commandments

  • I respect the sea and rivers, I don’t go near protected sites, I limit fishing to authorised species and sizes, I observe animals without touching or disturbing them.
  • Before anchoring, I check the nature of the seabed to avoid damaging it.
  • I prefer to use mooring buoys.
  • I separate my household waste in the containers and my toxic, solid and liquid waste at the port waste collection centre. I use the port sanitary facilities.
  • I empty my black water tank at the pumping stations. I use the most environmentally-friendly detergents.
  • I make sure that all maintenance operations (boat, equipment) are carried out in an environmentally friendly manner.
  • I handle all liquids likely to pollute with care when transferring them.
  • I respect the peace and quiet of the site and the neighbourhood.

A unique experience on the quayside

  • Aperitifs in the harbour in front of the colourful boats
  • Stroll around the morning markets just a stone’s throw from the boat
  • Hire a bike to explore the vineyards
  • Fishing or marine observation at sunrise
