Procedure
- Declaration to the Town Hall required on the DeclaLoc’ website
- Request a classification visit by appointment within 3 months (excluding July and August).
- The Tourist Office will classify your furnished accommodation and send you the classification decision (valid for 5 years).
- The Tourist Office will send the classification decision to Bouches-du-Rhône Tourisme.

Registration with the INSEE’s SIRET register is compulsory and free of charge, and is carried out at the commercial court registry office responsible for the location of the rented accommodation. The obligation to obtain a SIRET number applies to all landlords, whether professional or non-professional.
The non-professional furnished rental business (LMNP) must be registered with INPI.
To set up your business, you will need the following information:
- start date
- information about your furnished-rental business
- tax status (micro BIC or real)
- VAT status
- form of business

Since 1 January 2015, the tourist tax has been levied on an actual basis in Cassis, regardless of the type or category of accommodation. The collection period is set at the whole of the calendar year, i.e. from 1 January to 31 December.
Since 1 January 2017, accommodation has been subject to an additional tax on tourist tax, introduced by the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council.
