Description
The Marseille-Cassis is a 20 km foot race connecting Marseille to Cassis on the last Sunday in October. Created in 1979, it is one of the most famous races in France and attracts 20,000 runners from around the world every year.
The race starts in front of the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille. The riders then take the Route de la Gineste, crossing the Calanques National Park. The course reaches its highest point at the Col de la Gineste (327 m above sea level) after a challenging 5-km climb, before descending toward Cassis for a finish on the Route des Albizzi. The course features an elevation gain and loss of approximately 330 meters, making the race as technical as it is spectacular.

Buses will transport runners from Cassis to the starting area in Marseille, running continuously from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. from the bottom of the Gorguettes parking lot and the bottom of Avenue Foch; drop-off at Rue Maguy Roubaud.
> The buses are reserved for runners only; no advance reservation is required. You must present your race bib and official race wristband to board the bus.
